There are

two conversations

running your leadership.

One out loud, and one inside.

The Friction Inventory shows you both—and what you actually do when they collide.

WATCH TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR MISSION, HOW WE TRANSFORM LIVES

You already know where some of the friction is.

It shows up in the conversation you keep putting off. The decision that should be straightforward but somehow isn't. The person you can't quite get through to. The responsibility you know you need to hand off but keep holding onto.

And then there's the friction no one else can see.

The second-guessing. The inner critic. The discomfort with uncertainty. The reaction that kicks in when the pressure goes up.

Most leaders can feel when something isn't working.

The harder part is seeing what is actually creating the friction—and how you respond when it appears.

That's what the Friction Inventory is designed to uncover.

24 areas.

Two sides of leadership.

The Friction Inventory looks at 24 areas of your working life—12 external and 12 internal.

The conversation happening out loud.

The external side looks at the friction between you and the world around you, including:

  • Strategic clarity

  • Difficult conversations

  • Managing up

  • Delegation

  • Decision-making

  • Working with others

The conversation happening inside.

The internal side looks at the friction within you, including:

  • Your inner critic

  • Ambiguity and uncertainty

  • Your reactions under pressure

  • The patterns that influence how you lead

But identifying where friction exists is only part of the picture.
The Inventory also helps reveal what you tend to do when you encounter it.

Do you avoid it?

Circle around it?

Or engage with it?

That distinction matters. Because the way you respond to friction can tell you as much as the friction itself.

This is not a five-minute quiz.

Set aside about 30 minutes.

The value isn't in getting through it quickly. It's in answering honestly enough to notice what you might normally move past.

There are no right answers to produce and no leadership persona to maintain.

Just pay attention to where you hesitate, where you're certain, and where a question makes you slightly uncomfortable.

That is usually useful information.

Friction is not the problem.

Friction is information.

This is how you find out what yours is telling you.
